Joint event at Lady Blue with Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Princeton Alumni Clubs, February 25, 2020 (19:00 - 21:00)

Members are invited to attend a joint networking event with the Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Princeton alumni clubs of Japan.

Date and time: Tuesday, February 25, 19:00 - 21:00 (doors open at 18:30)
Venue: Lady Blue 1F Otemachi Place, 2-3-1 Otemachi
Attendance fee: 6,000 yen (Includes drinks and a buffet. Payment is required in advance. The Society’s bank account details will be sent to those who sign up, as will directions to the venue. No refunds for cancellations after February 20, unless places can be passed on to other members.)

Christmas Party at the International House of Japan, Thursday, December 19 (18:30 - 21:00)

Our Christmas Party will be held as usual in the Kabayama Room (樺山ルーム) at the International House of Japan.

If you would like to attend this event, please apply to Tim Minton (t.minton[at]camford[dot]org) by Friday, December 13th. Members are welcome to invite one guest each (no restriction in the case of immediate family members).

Dress code: as you like (within reason)
Attendance fee: 8,000 yen

Buffet Dinner at Tokyo American Club, Nov. 12 (18:30 – 20:30)

November will see us back at Tokyo American Club for the second time this year. On offer is a plentiful buffet dinner accompanied by free-flowing drinks and conversation in the Club’s Lincoln & Washington Room.

Members who would like to attend should contact Tim Minton (t.minton[at]camford[dot]org) by November 7th. Guests are welcome.

Dress code: Lounge suit
Attendance fee: 8,000 yen (Payment is required in advance. The Society’s bank account details will be sent to those who sign up, as will directions to the Club. No refunds for cancellations after November 7th, unless places can be passed on to other members.)


Seated Dinner at The Tokyo Club to Celebrate Princess Takamado's Honorary Fellowship, Oct. 31 (18:30 - 21:00)

The list for this event is already full, but members are still welcome to register for inclusion on the waiting list.

The October event will be a seated 5-course dinner at The Tokyo Club on Thursday, 31st October to congratulate HIH Princess Hisako Takamado on the Honorary Fellowship she was awarded in February by her alma mater, Girton College, Cambridge.

Members who would like to attend should contact Tim Minton (t.minton[at]camford[dot]org) by October 28th.

Dress code: Black tie
Attendance fee: 8,000 yen (Includes pre-dinner drinks, 5-course meal, and after-dinner drinks. Payment is required in advance. Dinner for Gourmets, Restaurant Kinoshita, September 11, 2019 (18:30 - 21:00)

This event is already full, but members are still welcome to register for inclusion on the waiting list.
The first event for the second half of 2019 is a seated French dinner at Restaurant Kinoshita in Yoyogi. A maximum of only 20 people can be accommodated.

If you would like to attend this event, please contact Tim Minton (t.minton[at]camford[dot]org) by September 6th.

Payment is required in advance. The Society’s bank account details will be sent to those who apply, as will directions to Kinoshita. Please note that there will be no refunds for cancellations after September 6th, unless places can be passed on to other members.


Seated Buffet Dinner, Garden Room (exclusive use), Grand Kitchen, Palace Hotel, July 24, 2019 (18:30 - 21:00)

The final event of the first half (January to July) will be a seated buffet dinner in a private room (Garden Room) appended to the the Palace Hotel's main restaurant, Grand Kitchen (ground floor). Members are welcome to invite one guest each.

Attendance fee: 10,000 yen per person (payable in advance - account details will be sent to those who sign up, along with directions to the venue)

Joint event with NYU Alumni Club in Japan and Columbia University Alumni Association of Japan, June 13, 2019

Members are invited to attend our second joint networking event with the NYU and Columbia alumni clubs in Japan.

Venue: Ark Hills Club, East Wing, Ark Mori Building (37F), 1-12-32 Akasaka, Minato-ku

Early Summer Party at the British Ambassador’s Residence, May 23 (18:30 - 21:00)

Our main May event, the annual Early Summer Party, will be held on Thursday, May 23rd (18:30 – 21:00) at the British Ambassador’s Residence and hosted by the Society’s President and British Ambassador to Japan, HE Paul Madden CMG.

Applications to attend will be accepted only via the online registration form available at the URL sent by email to C&O members on April 25th.

We are delighted to welcome Professor Mary Fowler to dinner at The Tokyo Club on April 5th.

Dinner at Tokyo American Club in honour of Professor Henry Woudhuysen, Rector of Lincoln College Oxford, March 18 (18:30-20:30)

C&O returns to TAC for the first time in six years for a buffet dinner in honour of Professor Henry Woudhuysen, who will treat us to a short talk on Samuel Johnson.
