120th Anniversary Celebration, Imperial Hotel, Saturday, 22nd March, 17:45 - 23:00

Although we are not absolutely sure, we think 2025 marks the 120th anniversary of the founding of The Cambridge & Oxford Society, Tokyo. To celebrate, we are holding a black-tie dinner at the Imperial Hotel on Saturday, March 22nd:

Reception desk opens at 17:15
Aperitifs, Fuji Room (17:45 - 18:30)
Seated full-course dinner, Fuji Room (18:30 - 20:30)
After-dinner drinks, Imperial Lounge Aqua Private Bar (21:00 - 23:00)

Dress code: Black tie (formal evening gowns for ladies)

Attendance fees
Aperitifs & dinner only: members 15,000 yen, guests 20,000 yen
Aperitifs, dinner & after-dinner drinks: members 21,000 yen, guests 28,000 yen

Seated Dinner at The Tokyo Club, Tuesday, 4th February 2025 (18:00 - 21:00)

This event is full, and applications to attend are no longer being accepted.

We are now accepting applications from members to attend our first event of 2025, a seated dinner at The Tokyo Club.

The attendance fee is ¥8,000 per person, and the deadline for signing up is January 31st. Members should use the link given in the notice distributed on January 14th to apply.

Christmas Party with Dr Elisabeth Kendall, Mistress of Girton College Cambridge, Kasumi Kaikan, 9th December (18:00 - 20:30)

We are now accepting applications from members to attend our December event, a Christmas Party at Kasumi Kaikan with a special lecture by Dr Elisabeth Kendall, Mistress of Girton College, University of Cambridge.

The attendance fee is ¥8,500 for members / ¥10,000 for guests, and the deadline for signing up is November 29th. Members should use the link given in the notice distributed on November 14th to apply.

Buffet Dinner at The Industry Club of Japan (日本工業倶楽部), Thursday 7th November (18:30 - 20:30)

We are now accepting applications from members to attend our November event, a buffet dinner at The Industry Club of Japan (日本工業倶楽部) in Marunouchi.

The attendance fee is ¥10,000 per person, and the deadline for signing up is October 31st. Members should use the link given in the notice distributed on October 17th to apply.

Casual Dinner at Oenophilia, Thursday, 26th September, 2024 (18:30 - 21:00)

Seated Dinner at The Tokyo Club: Joint event with Brown and Yale University alumni, Wednesday, 3rd July, 2024 (18:30 - 21:00)

Our last event of the first half (January to July) will be a seated 4-course dinner at The Tokyo Club together with members of Brown University Club of Japan and Yale Club of Japan.

Members who wish to attend should register via the Google Form link specified in the notice distributed on 12th June.

Early Summer Party at Tsunamachi Mitsui Club, Wednesday, 12th June, 2024 (18:30 - 21:00)

Our Early Summer Party will be held this year at Tsunamachi Mitsui Club (www.tsunamachimitsuiclub.co.jp/), a private club for senior members of the Mitsui Group, which is housed in an ornate 1913 mansion designed by British architect Josiah Conder (1852 – 1920). It was originally built as the Mitsui family’s guesthouse.

The attendance fees are 12,500 yen for members and 17,500 yen for guests. Those who wish to attend should register via the Google Form link distributed to members on May 22nd. Please address any enquiries to Tim Minton (t.minton[at]camford[dot]org]).


Triennial General Meeting and Seated Dinner at The Tokyo Club, Thursday, 16th May, 2024 (18:00 - 21:00)

Starting at 18:00, the Society's 2024 Triennial General Meeting will be chaired by Mr Emil Levendoğlu, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy. It will be followed by a seated dinner at 19:00.

Attendance is limited to C&O members, who should register via the link given in the notice distributed to the membership on 18th April. Enquiries may be addressed to Tim Minton by email (t.minton[at]camford[dot]org).
