In April of 2025, The Camford Society returned to Oenophilia in Meguro. This 'Wine Dining' gourmet restaurant was first visited in September of 2024 and was so well received that we decided to hold a second event there. This was also the first event to be held since Naoko Miyazaki-san took over the leadership of the Society from Tim Minton at the 120th Anniversary event.
On arrival we were greeted by Owner and prize winning Sommelier Katsumi Shuta-san. He offered glasses of Champagne N.V. Poilvert Jacques as a fitting start to the evening.

After enjoying the champagne, everyone found a place to sit - it was a free seating arrangement. Naoko-san then gave a short introduction to the event and welcomed everyone to Oenophilia.

After a short break to prepare, the meal was served, the menu for the event was as follows:
Smoked salmon with cream cheese tart
Shellfish curry

Homemade country-style duck and port paté
Beef stewed in Cabernet Sauvignon

Other free drinks were available throughout the evening, including beer, highball, orange juice, oolong tea, ginger ale and cola. Some free wines were also available.
The event was well attended and once again enjoyed by all present.
