This September, we will gather for a relaxed evening of French food and wine at Le Petit Tonneau, an authentic Parisian-style bistro in the heart of Tokyo.

Opened in 2001 by French chef Philippe Batton, Le Petit Tonneau brings the warmth and convivial atmosphere of a traditional Paris bistro to Toranomon. Known for its classic French cuisine and carefully selected wines, the restaurant provides a welcoming setting in which to enjoy good food, good wine, and, most importantly, good company.

There is no formal dress code for the evening, although business casual attire is preferred.

This event is kindly organised by C&O Golf Secretary, Steven Thomas.

Spaces are limited, and spots for guests are subject to availability. If you wish to attend, please contact Steven Thomas directly by February 13, 2026. Please refer to the notices sent on Feb 1 for more details.

The Tokyo Club Dinner (members only)

Please join us for another opportunity to catch up with friends over an excellent meal and elegant wines at the Tokyo Club.

Due to the consistent popularity of this event, this particular dinner will be open to C&O members only. We hope to host another dinner in the second half of the year where guests will be welcome.

If you are planning to attend, please be mindful of The Tokyo Club's strict dress code: business suits with a tie for gentlemen and equivalent attire for ladies. Sneakers or sandals of any kind are not permitted.

Reception opens at 18:00, drinks will be served at 18:30, and dinner to start at 19:00.

Invitations will be sent in mid-April.

Early Summer Party at the Tsunamachi-Mitsui Club

We are delighted to host our annual Early Summer Party at the magnificent Tsunamachi-Mitsui Club. Originally a grand guesthouse for the Mitsui family designed by architect Josiah Conder, the venue features an opulent main dining room (where the party will be held), arched veranda looking onto the gardens, and precious works of art adorning the walls of the main building. Please enjoy exploring the beautiful gardens upon your arrival. 

This event will also serve as an opportunity to bid farewell to the C&O President, Ambassador Julia Longbottom CMG, who will be returning to the UK this summer.

July Get-Together at Café 1894

We are heading to a new venue for the last event before the start of the summer holidays. 

Café 1894 in Marunouchi, boasting a stunning interior recreating the old Mitsubishi Bank building that once stood at the premises, is a stylish restaurant run by the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum. Please come and enjoy free-flow drinks and tasty buffet dinner in the comfort of your summer wardrobe (business casual recommended). You are welcome to bring a guest to this event.

Casual Dinner at Oenophilia

This year’s April event will be a smaller, relaxed gathering with no dress code, at Oenophilia, just five minutes’ walk from Meguro Station. Following last year’s popular evening, we will enjoy a special course featuring eight dishes from appetizers to fish, meat, cheese, and dessert. Guests will taste seven carefully selected wines by a senior sommelier, including Champagne, vintage wine, and noble sweet wine paired with cheese. Two white and two red wines are free flow, along with soft drinks for three hours.

Sakura Party at the Imperial Hotel

Let's celebrate the arrival of cherry blossoms season together at the aptly named "Sakura-no-ma" (Cherry Blossoms Room) at the Imperial Hotel! 

Come and enjoy free flow drinks and the Imperial Hotel's special buffet in their elegant banqueting room. 

Dress code: black-tie/business with a dash of pink

Another opportunity to show-off your tux or the latest elegant addition in your closet, but if you don't have time to change after work, just add something pink to your business attire to get in the spirit of the season! (Pink ties, scarves, button-holes...you get the idea.)

Attendance fee is JPY 12000 for members, JPY 13500 for guests.
