The final event of the first half (January to July) will be a seated buffet dinner in a private room (Garden Room) appended to the the Palace Hotel's main restaurant, Grand Kitchen (ground floor). Members are welcome to invite one guest each.

Our Christmas Party will be held as usual in the Kabayama Room (樺山ルーム) at the International House of Japan.

November will see us back at Tokyo American Club for the second time this year. On offer is a plentiful buffet dinner accompanied by free-flowing drinks and conversation in the Club’s Lincoln & Washington Room.

The January dinner was heavily oversubscribed, so we have decided to hold a repeat dinner this month in the hope that many of those on the waiting list for the January event will be able to attend.

Our May event will be held at one of our most popular venues, The International House of Japan in Roppongi.

The attendance fee is 9,000 yen for members and 10,000 yen for guests (payable in advance), which covers a 4-course meal and drinks in the Kabayama Room. Members are welcome to invite one guest each.

With the exception of the joint event with Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Princeton in February, all 2020 events were cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. No events were held in 2021, either, except for the Triennial General Meeting (via Zoom) in November, and although we considered the idea of resuming events with a Christmas Party in 2022, the eighth wave put paid to those plans.

However, we have now decided to resume events with a seated New Year Dinner at The Tokyo Club (capacity 50) on Friday, 20th January, 2023. A notice has already been sent to members.
